Problem: Since the Covid-19 pandemic, artists in the music industry suffered without the ability to host live in-person shows.
Solution: Collaborated on a 3-person team to developed a tool for artists to share information regarding their latest tracks and upcoming shows.
Problem: Without default fillable templates available, finding and replacing text in multiple duplicated Word files is a tedious task with high risk of human error.
Solution: Developed a script to duplicate contents of a folder and replace text content in all contained Word files and filenames based on provided input.
Problem: A mock computer distribution company needed a single management system that could track customer orders and inventory.
Solution: Worked on a 2-person team to design and develop a robust tool capable of managing inventory and orders.
Problem: Microsoft Planner lacks a native way to export all the comments on a Plan. Apps4Pro's Planner Manager can export these comments, but does not parse them.
Solution: Developed a script to parse comments from Apps4Pro Planner Manager exports and separate comment details to be more readily manipulated and analyzed.
Problem: Young children (K-8) become easily distracted and lose interest during remote learning. Many educational tools are complex and require a parent to assist.
Solution: Collaborated on a 3-member team to design and develop a simple child-friendly flashcard web application.
Problem: Personal finance tools are complex or expensive, or do not offer a user the simple options to group and categorize transactions in order to facilitate financial decision making.
Solution: Collaborated on a 4-member team to design and develop a simple budgeting tool to manage transactions and budget for expenditures.
Problem: A company referenced details on two proprietary websites to draft emails to clients. A single email took between 5 to 20 minutes to draft.
Solution: Developed a tool to scrape website details and draft emails in Word. Supported 26 common email types and reduced average draft time to 5 minutes.
Problem: Justin Maciulis, a plant nursery owner, wanted to have a simple website to showcase the services of his small business and increase traffic of potential sales.
Solution: Designed and developed a simple, static website to meet client's requests to showcase business services, site location and provide contact information.
Problem: Gess is a strategy board game that combines features of Go and Chess. A free standalone version of the Gess board game was not found available for the PC.
Solution: Designed and developed an open-source on-screen implementation of the Gess strategy game complete with move validation and endgame conditions.
Problem: The classic calculator used in the Graduate Records Exam was not easily and freely accessible, limiting the ability to practice using this tool.
Solution: Built an openly available Windows application with the appearance and function of the classic GRE Calculator.
